Inductee Jim White still has it going on

At ArborLinks on Tuesday afternoon, Jim White, Director of Golf atWilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln proved that he is still one of themost dominate professional golfers in the state of Nebraska. White, 59years young, won The Nebraska PGA Professional Championship for the 11thtime in his career. White's first win in this event came 31 years agoin 1978. Of White's 11 wins, he has two in the 70's, five in the 80's,two in the 90's and now two in this decade, 2000 and 2009.
White's three round total of 7-under par 209 was good enough for a fourshot victory over Jon Petersen of Miracle Hill Golf & Tennis, and sixshots better than Chris Wiemers of Happy Hollow Club and Matt Nice ofThe Ridge Golf Club. All four players earned spots into next year's PGAProfessional Championship held June 27-30, 2010 at French Lick Resort inFrench Lick, Indiana.
White also won the Nebraska PGA Senior Professional Championship a fewweeks ago at Oak Hills Country Club. He will be looking to add a fewmore championships to his resume this year at The Nebraska PGA MatchPlay Championship at Platteview Country Club August 31- September 2 andthen again at the Wells Fargo Nebraska Open in Columbus September 11-13.
